This is the new bootscreen. It now doesn't look like the bootscreen was made in BASIC.
In Windows 3.0 your mode is not just one mode for one processor. You can choose a mode ment for 8088, 286, 386... ...hey wait wheres the option for a Cyrix?
The new shell, Program Manager, is designed to be something like the Finder from the Macintosh. Now you dont have to memorize which program is which.
However, MS-DOS Executive is still there.
The redesign of Windows 3.0 in comparison to 1.0 and 2.0 means that the programs have to be redesigned. Now Paint allows you to add colours!
There's now a new file manager too.
Unfortunately you can't put multiple instances of it.
Now your desktop wallpaper can be an image! Specifically, BMP, but you can set it to something else.
Also you can add your own themes too.
