Despite Windows 3.1 acting similar to Windows 3.0, it has some new features. A noticeable example is coloured icons and the ability to set your username and company.

It also introduces the Character Map.

While Solitare was intended to replace Reversi in Windows 3.0, Minesweeper took the cake.

There's also multimedia support too.
